Yamaha XSR900 (2022 onwards)

The Yamaha XSR900 is a retro-style naked bike based on the MT-09 roadster. It comes with an 890cc inline-three-cylinder engine that gives the bike a sporty character. It is a great all-rounder with more than enough power for both a highway and a racetrack. The base model produces around 117 bhp, so you will have to buy the restricted version for your A2 licence.

The motorcycle is equipped with various modern features, including ABS, traction control, and wheelie control. You will also get a fully-adjustable suspension and quickshifter as standard. The build quality is excellent, and you don’t have to worry about any issues with this bike.

Please note that the below specifications are for the regular non-A2-compliant Yamaha XSR900 model, rather than the 35kW / 70kW A2-compliant one.

A2 Licence Compliance

The Yamaha XSR900 is a 890cc A2-friendly bike. It has a power output of 87 kW (117 bhp), which exceeds the 35 kW (47 bhp) limit needed for an A2 licence. The bike has to be restricted by at least 59.7% to become A2 licence compliant. (source: Yamaha XSR900 specifications)

You will need a restrictor to ride the Yamaha XSR900 on an A2 motorbike licence. See the restrictor kits section to check out what restrictors are available for the Yamaha XSR900.
