Yes, you can ride the Moto Guzzi V85 TT (2019 onwards) on an A2 motorbike licence. However, you will need to fit a restrictor kit to reduce its power output and make it A2 licence compliant!
Moto Guzzi V85 TT (2019 onwards)
The V85 TT is Moto Guzzi’s first large-capacity adventure bike since the Stelvio model. It features a stylish retro design that is very hard to find on most other motorcycles in the category. It looks like if the Triumph Tiger and Ducati Scrambler had a baby.
The bike comes with an air-cooled 90-degree transverse V-Twin engine, which is a re-worked version of the existing V9 unit with a slightly more power and torque. It has a similar sound as some of the boxer-twin engines you could find in older BMW bikes. The engine is super-smooth and extremely responsive, but it creates some vibrations through the foot pegs. This reduces the comfort level on longer rides, which is a slight disappointment.
As most other modern adventure bikes, the Moto Guzzi V85 TT is equipped with lots of advanced features such as ABS, cruise control and traction control. There are multiple rider modes and you will also get a high-quality TFT dash with the bike.
A2 Licence Compliance
The Moto Guzzi V85 TT is a 853cc A2-friendly adventure bike. It has a power output of 59 kW (79 bhp), which exceeds the 35 kW (47 bhp) limit needed for an A2 licence. The bike has to be restricted by at least 40.6% to become A2 licence compliant.
