Yes, you can ride the Ducati Monster 937 (2021 onwards) on an A2 motorbike licence. However, you will need to fit a restrictor kit to reduce its power output and make it A2 licence compliant!
Ducati Monster 937 (2021 onwards)
The 2021 Ducati Monster 937 is the biggest step-away from the bikes originally designed there has ever been. It is the biggest shake-up in the model’s 28-year history. There is no more Trellis frame and for the first time in any Monster line-up, it isn’t an air-cooled bike.
The bike feels far more agile than the previous Monster models, which makes it a better option for beginner riders.
The standard Monster 937 model comes with 82 kW (109 bhp), which means it is not A2-licence compliant. However, Ducati has released a restricted 35/70 kW variant that you can ride on an A2 licence.
Please note that the below specifications are for the regular non-A2 compliant Ducati Monster 937 model, rather than the 35kW / 70kW A2-compliant one.
A2 Licence Compliance
The Ducati Monster 937 is a 937cc A2-friendly standard bike. It has a power output of 82 kW (109 bhp), which exceeds the 35 kW (47 bhp) limit needed for an A2 licence. The bike has to be restricted by at least 57.3% to become A2 licence compliant.
