Ducati Hypermotard 950 (2019 onwards)

The Hypermotard 950 is another addition to the famous Ducati’s supermoto bikes lineup that became extremely popular in recent years. It comes with the iconic Trellis frame and aggressive design that makes the bike look super-cool and attractive. You just can’t mistake it with any other model on the market!

Its revised Testastretta engine feels lively and responsive, especially at the bottom-end. It has lots of power and torque, which makes the bike a true wheelie machine.

As most other Ducati bikes, the Hypermotard 950 comes packed with modern features. It is equipped with an ABS system, traction control, and full-colour TFT dash, which will let you choose from three different rider modes. The build quality is excellent and some of the reliability issues of previous models are supposed to be fixed on this particular bike.

The Ducati Hypermotard 950 might not be the best option for touring and long-distance riding, but it is still more comfortable than most other bikes in the category such as the Husqvarna 701 Supermoto. Unfortunately, the bike is also much more expensive than the competition, which makes it a no-go most A2 licence holders.

Please note that the below specifications are for the regular non-A2 compliant Hypermotard 950 model, rather than the 35kW / 70kW A2-compliant one.

A2 Licence Compliance

The Ducati Hypermotard 950 is a 937cc A2-friendly bike. It has a power output of 84 kW (112 bhp), which exceeds the 35 kW (47 bhp) limit needed for an A2 licence. The bike has to be restricted by at least 58.3% to become A2 licence compliant.

You will need a restrictor to ride the Ducati Hypermotard 950 on an A2 motorbike licence. See the restrictor kits section to check out what restrictors are available for the Ducati Hypermotard 950.
