Can you ride the KTM 690 Enduro R on an A2 licence?
Yes, you can ride the KTM 690 Enduro R (2019 onwards) on an A2 motorbike licence. However, you will need to fit a restrictor kit to reduce its power output and make it A2 licence compliant!
KTM 690 Enduro R (2019 onwards)
The KTM 690 Enduro R is an off-road version of the legendary A2 supermoto bike, the KTM 690 SMC R. Most of the specs of both motorcycles are identical and they even share the same type of engine (LC4), which has been upgraded.
Compared to the older series, the new LC4 engine is much more reliable and it doesn’t cause so much vibration.
The KTM 690 Enduro R 2019 also offers longer service intervals and overall, it is a much more comfortable bike to ride than its predecessor.
All of these attributes make the KTM 690 Enduro R a very good choice for A2 licence holders looking for a powerful off-road bike.
A2 Licence Compliance
The KTM 690 Enduro R is a 690cc A2-friendly off-road bike. It has a power output of 55 kW (74 bhp), which exceeds the 35kW limit needed for an A2 licence. The bike has to be restricted by cca 35% to be A2 licence compliant.
You will need a restrictor to ride the KTM 690 Enduro R on an A2 licence. See the KTM 690 Enduro R specifications table for restriction info, and the restrictor kits section to see what restrictors are available for the KTM 690 Enduro R.
