The Benelli BN600 is another affordable street bike coming from the famous Italian/Chinese manufacturer. Although it might not be as popular as some other models from this brand, the BN600 has some interesting features to offer.

Compared to some other bikes from the same lineup, such as the Benelli BN251 and BN302, it definitely feels much bigger and heavier. The engine of the BN600 is powerful enough for daily commuting, but it is nothing special at higher speeds. The handling is relatively good, but the fuelling is not as consistent as it should be. Therefore, the riding experience might not be as smooth as you would expect from a street bike.

Nevertheless, it is still a good motorcycle, especially when you consider its entry-level price tag. If you are looking for a beginner-friendly A2 bike that looks good and offers great value for money, then the Benelli BN600 will be a good choice for you.

The newer models all exceed the 35 kW limit upon restriction and therefore, a full category A1 motorcycle licence is needed.

The Honda Hornet is a great all-rounder that is suitable for both commuting and occasional track days. It is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a simple, easy to maintain bike with good handling and lots of power. Its inline-four cylinder engine is reliable and super-smooth at all revs.

The Honda CB600F Hornet is a surprisingly affordable motorcycle and there are still plenty of them for sale. The only small downside of the bike is its outdated equipment, but it is tolerable in this price range.

The Honda CB650F is a highly practical and extremely versatile motorcycle. The bike is reliable, super-fun to ride and it looks really good on the road.

Honda has equipped this bike with an inline-4 engine that provides smooth power delivery, good acceleration and lots of revs. The performance is decent and there is no need to exchange this bike for a different model once you get your full motorcycle licence.

Compared to other bikes in the category, such as the Yamaha MT-07 or Triumph Street Triple, the CB650F offers a slightly better value for money. The build quality is excellent and the designers have clearly paid a lot of attention to detail while designing the bike.

It is very hard to find an A2-frienly bike that ticks all the boxes and that will suit most types of riders. However, the Honda CB650F has succeeded in most aspects and I would even say that you can’t go wrong with this bike.

The 2017 Honda CB650F is an inline-four cylinder bike that has slightly more sporty specifications compared to the 2014 model. The motorcycle feels powerful yet compact in size, so it is an ideal bike for slightly more experienced A2 licence holders.

It comes with an aggressive riding position, which will put you right up over the front of the bike. But, it is by no means an uncomfortable motorcycle to ride. In fact, the level of comfort is pretty high and you can easily ride the bike both on motorways and around town.

There are not that many 4-cyclinder motorcycles in the middleweight naked bikes category and the Honda CB650F is without a doubt one of the best options on the market.

The Honda CB650R is a middleweight inline four cylinder motorcycle that looks like some kind of a hybrid between a cafe racer and a standard naked bike. It features a retro futuristic design that has gained a lot of popularity in recent years.

The motorcycle is a direct competitor to some of the most popular A2 bikes such as the Suzuki SV650 or Yamaha MT-07. Compared to the two bikes mentioned, the CB650R is a slightly more expensive machine, but it is also by far the most powerful one of the bunch. In fact, thanks to its power output of 92 hp, the Honda CB650R is one of the most powerful bikes you can legally ride on an A2 licence.

Riding quality of the CB650R is on the same level or even better than of its predecessor, the Honda CB650F. Despite its sportier setting, the CB650R is a very comfortable bike to ride and you will be able to use it for both urban commuting and sport-touring.

So, if you are looking for a powerful A2-friendly naked bike that has a sporty feel and is extremely versatile, the Honda CB650R might be the perfect choice for you.

Where the Honda CB750 truly shines is the riding comfort and reliability. The bike has very long service intervals. It handles incredibly well and is super-stable at higher speeds. On top of that, it has enough power for long-distance highway rides.

All of these attributes make the Honda CB750 a great all-around A2 bike suitable for both everyday commuting and occasional weekend trips.

A bigger brother of the Honda CBF500, the CBF600 has all the features and comforts that you would want from an all-rounder.

Available in two versions:

the CBF600S, which is a half-faired, sport-touring version

the CBF600N, which is the naked version.

The CBF600 is a supremely competent, stable and reliable motorcycle, making the Honda CBF600 an excellent choice for anyone on an A2 motorcycle licence.

When it comes to ride quality, the CBF600 has a comfortable upright position. When riding slower, you can feel some of the 197kg of weight, but at faster speeds the CBF600 is very stable and offers good handling.

Although some say that the Honda CBF600 lacks instant feedback and “go”, the power range is quite broad and easily moves the bike along the road.

On the other side, it’s a Honda, meaning that you can easily trust that the CBF600 will last you a hundred thousand miles! There’s no doubt in saying that the CBF600 offers top-notch reliability, looks great and is great starting point for any A2 rider.
