BMW R12 NineT (2024 onwards) motorcycle

BMW R12 NineT (2024 onwards)

The BMW R12 NineT is a large-capacity retro-style naked bike that replaces the older BMW NineT model. It comes with the same boxer-twin engine producing incredible amounts of power and torque, but the chassis has been updated. Its brand-new tubular steel frame chassis is now a one-piece unit, instead of two, which makes the bike lighter and easier to produce.

The R12 NineT is a premium motorcycle with incredible build quality and lots of character. It is not the most powerful bike in the category, but you will still need to get a factory-restricted version for your A2 licence.

Please note that the below specifications are for the regular non-A2-compliant BMW R12 NineT model, rather than the 35kW / 70kW A2-compliant one.

A2 Licence Compliance

The BMW R12 NineT is a 1170cc A2-friendly bike. It has a power output of 80 kW (108 bhp), which exceeds the 35 kW (47 bhp) limit needed for an A2 licence. The bike has to be restricted by at least 56.2% to become A2 licence compliant.

You will need a restrictor to ride the BMW R12 NineT on an A2 motorbike licence. See the restrictor kits section to check out what restrictors are available for the BMW R12 NineT.
