BMW F850GS Adventure (2019 onwards)

The BMW F850GS Adventure is basically the regular F850GS with a higher capacity fuel tank and better wind protection. It comes equipped with a large windscreen, heated grips, adjustable suspension, Brembo brakes, ABS and traction control.

Due to its larger fuel tank and some additional extras, the bike is heavier than the regular version. Otherwise, the specs are almost identical and if you are looking for a reliable mid-sized adventure bike, you can’t go wrong with either one of them.

The BMW F850GS Adventure might not be as powerful as some bigger bikes in this category such as the BMW 1250GS, but it will surely be enough for most of the situations and it is a great all-around A2-friendly motorcycle.

A2 Licence Compliance

The BMW F850GS Adventure is a 853cc A2-friendly bike. It has a power output of 70 kW (94 bhp), which exceeds the 35 kW (47 bhp) limit needed for an A2 licence. The bike has to be restricted by at least 50% to become A2 licence compliant.

You will need a restrictor to ride the BMW F850GS Adventure on an A2 motorbike licence. See the restrictor kits section to check out what restrictors are available for the BMW F850GS Adventure.
